    Almost certainly yes. That’s actually one of Zappi’s biggest strengths — its CT clamp reads solar export at your switchboard, so it works with any inverter brand, regardless of what panels or batteries you have.

    Zappi comes with a 3-year manufacturer warranty. Our installation is also fully insured and includes a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work.

    Yes — that’s exactly what Eco+ mode does. Zappi only charges when your solar is exporting energy and matches the charge speed to your solar surplus. On a sunny Sydney day with a decent solar system, you can charge entirely from free solar electricity.

    Tethered Zappis come with a built-in 6.5m Type 2 charging cable — just plug and go. Untethered Zappis don’t include a cable, so you use the one that came with your EV. Tethered is more convenient day-to-day; untethered looks tidier on the wall and is slightly cheaper.

    Yes. Zappi uses the universal Type 2 connector that every Tesla sold in Australia (Model 3, Model Y, Model S, Model X) accepts. It works exactly the same way on a Tesla as it does on any other EV.

    No. In NSW, EV charger installation must be carried out by a licensed electrician — and the Zappi’s CT clamp setup needs an experienced sparky to get right. DIY installation is illegal and voids the manufacturer warranty.
